Hi, my name is
Sven van der Weide.

I am Sven van der Weide (2004), a graphic designer from the small village of Makkinga in Friesland. I have been creative from a young age. My passion for graphic design and being creative started early. I was always drawing a lot. In primary school, I even designed my own traffic sign, which is still displayed there today.

At my secondary school, Stellingwerf College in Oosterwolde, I chose the profile Media, Design and ICT, which further sparked my interest in this field. After that, I studied Graphic Design at Firda (formerly ROC Friese Poort) in Drachten. During my studies, I learned how to translate my ideas into concepts that are not only visually appealing, but also functional.

In 2023, I won first place at the national Skills Heroes competitions in Amsterdam, which allowed me to call myself the best Graphic Designer in the Netherlands at vocational (MBO) level.

After completing my education and an internship year at Buenaparte (a creative communication agency in Groningen), I now focus on freelance projects.

For me, a design is only truly successful when it is not only beautiful, but also functional and surprising. Feel free to explore my many projects on this website, and who knows, we might speak soon!
